5 Simple Ways To Dominate Your Internet Marketing Niche

 1. Bring the party to you: One of the most overlooked strategies in building a successful internet marketing business is conducting good keyword research. Too many online marketers get caught up in the newest one click software and prospecting systems. While certainly not easy, internet marketing is very simple. Find out what people are looking for within your particular niche, and provide information and products accordingly. Using your main keyword, such as "internet marketing," find a mix of three to four word long-tail keyword phrases that aren't overly competitive, and build a range of information products (blog posts, articles, free reports, videos, etc.) around them. Trust me, it's far easier to rank 50 blog posts for 50 keywords that get 100 searches a day than it is to rank one blog post for a keyword that gets 2500 searches a day. In finding out what it is people are searching for, breaking that down into medium to low subcategories and campaigning accordingly, you are well on your way to dominating search engine rankings - even the rankings for your main keywords.
2. Imitation is not only the best form of flattery, it's a downright moneymaker: While doing your keyword research, take a look at what the top ranked sites in your niche are doing. If you are selling a weight loss product, for instance, seek out the highest rank sites in that niche, especially the blogs and squeeze pages. This is good research for how exactly to present the information that your keyword research tells you that you need to be writing about.
3. Spy on backlinks: While you're gadding about gandering at other people's pages, use a tool such as WebCEO, Traffic Tavis or Bing Webmaster Tools to see what pages that your competitors are getting backlinks from. Use a tool such as SEOMoz to find out the PageRank of these websites. Utilizing this information, set about building relevant backlinks to these same sites.
4. Integrate your different marketing forms: If you are using video marketing, place relevant videos from your YouTube account in your blog posts. Place a link in the description of your videos to a squeeze page or sales site. Place the links to your social networking profiles on your blog, and within the body of the follow up emails you write for your listbuilding efforts. Social bookmark everything. The key is linking everything together. A person that reads one of your articles on, say, exercise should be led to your blog, squeeze pages, videos, social network accounts and also have the opportunity to bookmark and share everything that they like. I personally like to create a short video instruction series that complements my email series. All of this helps brand you as an information source of the highest caliber.
5. Personalize everything: If you're offering a free report or video course via a squeeze page, create a personalized thank you page instead of using the generic one that comes with your autoresponder. Use PowerPoint and Camtasia to record a video that thanks your prospects for signing up for your free report as well as instructs them to check their email and click the confirmation link. Create a signature file for forum and blog posts, as well as for your regular email account. If you are using PLR videos, use Windows Movie Maker to add a photo of yourself along with your name at the beginning of the videos.
